Our laboratory performs the molecular test (“PCR”), the antigen test and the rapid molecular test ID NOW (“NAAT”) to detect Covid. For these particular tests, patients will be examined depending on their arrival order

Before getting tested, please note the following:

1. PCR (Molecular)Test

• The PCR test always requires a medical order.
• If the test is for medically necessary purposes, the physician must indicate it in the referral order specifically either because the patient has symptoms or was exposed. In those cases, medical insurance companies will cover the cost for the test.
• If the medical order does not establish medical necessity because the test is only needed to return to work or school; travel; or other purposes, the plan will not cover the cost and the patient will have to pay for the test. HRP Labs. listed price for PCR test is $95.
• The result of this test is available between 24 and 48 hours.

2. Antigen Test

• The antigen test does not require a medical order and costs $36.
• If the patient has a medical order and the test is for medically necessary purposes, the physician must indicate it in the referral specifically either because the patient has symptoms or was exposed. In these cases, the medical plans will pay the cost of the test.
• If the medical order does not establish medical necessity because the test is only needed to return to work or school; travel; or other purposes, the plan will not cover the cost and the patient will have to pay our listed price of $36.
• The result of this test is available within two (2) hours.

3. Rapid Molecular Test (ID NOW/ NAAT)

• The rapid molecular test does not require a medical order and it has a private cost of $100.
• If the medical order does not establish medical necessity because the test is only needed to return to work or school; travel; or other purposes, the plan will not cover the cost and the patient will have to pay our listed price of $100.
• The result of this test is available in one (1) hour.

For the day of your test, remember to bring a valid ID, health insurance card, and a referral.

Remember that the cost of tests performed by medical orders requested through the web without having mediated a personal visit, will not be paid by the health insurance plans. In those cases, the patient will have to pay the full cost of the test.

In the case of patients who are doctors by profession, self-referrals are not accepted.
