WOMEN’S HEALTH

HRP Labs performs the analysis and interpretation of Pap smears on any of the available media, which are the conventional Pap, Thin Prep or Surepap. Ancillary tests can be performed on these samples at the request of your physician. Some of these tests are indicated in a preventive manner based on the guidelines of the Preventive Service Task Force (USPSTF), an entity designated to establish the frequency and need for certain screening tests in a preventive manner according to your age and gender.

Among the most common ancillary tests is the HPV test, which is highly important in the prevention of cervical cancer, and tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea, among others. We have the convenience that, if an abnormal result requires it, a pathologist will review that result to ensure that the diagnosis provided can assertively direct the treatment required by the patient.
